Educational workshops under the Project SEPAL

In the context of our educational activities, Aitaro Collective is currently undertaking the task of training unemployed young people aged 24 to 29 years on the subject of fabric arts. Aitaro Collective is participating in Project SEPAL as a training provider. SEPAL, “Supporting Employment Platform through Apprenticeship Learning” is a European program funded by European Economic Area contracting countries – Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway – through the Youth Assistance Fund and the Active Youth Program, implemented in Greece by Social Cooperative “Diadromes”. This program was designed to meet the need for professional integration of young people from socially vulnerable groups. Aitaro Collective offers educational workshops on textile arts – theoretical concepts and practical application alike. The program includes weaving, sewing, embroidery, natural dyes, silkscreen printing, etc., and aims to equip young apprentices with skills and know-how to enter the labor market.
